Dear Friends and Family,

My warmest welcome to you who are new. I’m delighted you’re here.

I write today from Seward on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. This week’s images come from the drive to Seward, by way of Hope, Alaska, and of Exit Glacier, Kenai National Park.

Gratitude.

I dedicate today’s reflections to my sons, Devin, Coleman, and Max. Each of you, in your own way, has urged me to “Go for it, Mom.” Thank you.

And to Ellie and Maris, for every cheering text and family picture you’ve sent and all the ways you keep me up to date about home, thank you.

And to loved ones in Asheville and every one of you along the way . . . (words now escape me the feeling). Thank you.
